Christine Chiocchio is a photographer and painter who lives on the Connecticut shoreline in the US. When she is not traveling or in the studio, she spends much of her time photographing and painting outside in the marshes and on the nearby Thimble Islands. A love of nature and all things marine influences her work. Light, atmosphere and texture inform her choice of subject matter as well as a sense of irony or juxtaposition. Christine studied at the Lorenzo De Medici Institute in Florence, Italy and earned a BA in Studio Art, Magna Cum Laude, and Phi Beta Kappa from Fairfield University. Christine is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers, Professional Photographers of America and recently earned a Professional Photographer Certification. She is also a member of the Guilford Art Center, Shoreline Arts Trail, and the Audubon Society. She has studied with many notable artists and photographers and her work can be found in private collections as well as some public and international collections.
